Technical details:

Cantilevered staircase made of exposed concrete. The surface has an R9 anti-slip finish and the steps are impregnated to prevent any staining caused by moisture. 

Special concrete mix with additives (fibres) for stability

Steps made to measure.

Anchoring to the wall is concealed; the wall remains exposed concrete or is plastered

We must be involved in the planning process to ensure the fixing system is taken into account! Delivery time is 10 to 12 weeks from order confirmation.

Cantilevered exposed concrete staircase passes load tests (2011):

The new cantilevered concrete step design has just been subjected to a 350 kg load and has passed the test. With a step thickness of just 8 cm (up to 950 mm wide; 10 cm for widths up to 1,200 mm), it is the thinnest cantilevered concrete step that can currently be manufactured.

The concrete staircase has a complex internal structure. To ensure structural integrity, additional components were used which are incorporated into the concrete in a specific concentration. Through repeated testing, we were able to determine the correct composition and make the ‘high-tech’ concrete step fully functional.

Design:

By incorporating LED-illuminated glass or fine timber, the staircase takes on an ultra-modern look. However, exposed concrete can also add the finishing touch to a modern home and is currently very much in vogue.
